Chapter 3: Swift's Secret Getaway
"Teachers suck at doing their job," Swift muttered under her breath sitting near the lockers residing in the hallway all alone.
Swift sat there for a few minutes until an idea came crawling into her mind like a little caterpillar. To pretend she is playing hooky for the whole day, Swift snuck to her locker, configured her combination numbers until the lock emitted a snap sound. She looked around left and right to make sure nobody is watching including a boring hall monitor and quietly stepped into her locker and closed the door slowly.
"My locker is cooler than everyone's boring lockers," Swift said walking through junk she recently stored some time ago. "I wish mine could lead to Narnia but that's another story."
At the end, a large rectangular room showed up in front of her eyes. Her locker was not just a place for school supply storage but it was almost like a secret base for her no one ever knew about. The secret room décor had all blue and sky blue which are her favorite colors. For entertainment, she had a big screen TV with a DVD and Blu-Ray player, a big comfy blue couch sitting across the television, and two vending machines consisting of many choices of snacks and soft drinks to snack on. But that's not all, up above in the locker, a silver shiny disco ball hung on the ceiling shining like diamonds. The only musical source Swift collected was a big stereo that could have its speakers blown in treble high and bass down low. It was a paradise for Swift to escape from reality, bullies and Miss Stempali's wrath.
"I bet Miss Stempali's place smells like raw tuna," Swift pretended to gag pointing a finger into her mouth. "Probably like a stupid smelly bus."
Swift slowly closed the door behind her and headed straight to the couch. She kicked off her shoes and sat down comfortably, picked up the remote and turned on the TV to the Cartoons channel. A loud bonk smacked the guy on his skull making Swift point her finger at the TV and laughed real hard.
"That guy got hit in the head with a coconut!" Swift laughed making a weird silly face with only one baby tooth revealing.
It was almost time for lunch but Swift did not even bother to get her lazy butt off the couch and pry her eyes away from TV.
Meanwhile, back in the classroom, Miss Stempali headed outside of class to check on Swift to see her being bored of doing nothing. However, she found the hallway completely empty without her presence. Miss Stempali looked around but no sign of her. Instead, she let out a loud bellow by yelling to call out her name.
"Little Vilunim!" She yelled and peered behind her shoulder quickly and reminded Lightning to watch over the class. "Lightning, keep an eye on my class while I go look for that little whippersnapper."
"Y'okay!" Lightning winked making a peace sign using two fingers.
"I'll find you, little Vilunim," Miss Stempali growled passing down the hallway to hunt her down. "And when I do, you will be living in a place where happiness in fairy tales does not exist!"
She headed down other hallways still devoted on hunting down the pesky girl who decided to play hooky.
